How long will my project take to complete?

Typical projects take 3 to 5 working days to complete.

Files can be sent to us via Secure FTP upload (drag and drop) or via email.

Delivery times can vary depending on the time of year, the class of mail and if the mail is being delivered locally or nationally. Here are some times to consider:

  • 1st Class Mail has a delivery time of 1 to 3 days locally, and 3 to 8 days nationally. 
  • Standard Class Mail has a delivery time of 3 to 8 days locally and up to 14 days nationally. 
  • Non profit Class Mail has a delivery time of 3 to 8 days locally and up to 14 days nationally. 
  • Carrier Route Class Mail has a delivery time of 3 to 8 days locally and up to 14 days nationally. 
Metro Presort’s production environment includes multiple pieces of the same equipment for redundancy. Designed to print for transactional documents, direct mail and commercial print applications.

We offer a variety of choices from glossy to matte, linen, colored paper, recycled and non, at various weights…and everything in between.

We request that the file be sent as single pages, in one multi-page PDF

Please provide one file that includes your cover and interior pages. Uploading a single-page PDF does not mean uploading one PDF for each page. It means all the pages in your PDF file should be single pages, not spreads. 

Please include the pages in this order:

  • Outside front cover
  • Inside front cover
  • Page one, two, three, etc.
  • Inside back cover
  • Outside back cover

Simplex prints on one side of the page, duplex prints on both sides of the page.

Yes. If you are mailing 1st class full rate, a return address is not required. However, if you are mailing at Presorted 1st class, Standard or Non Profit a return address is required. The return address for letter shaped mail is placed in the upper left corner. 

The delivery address for a letter is placed in a rectangle area approximately 2.0 tall by 4.0 wide on the right side of the mail piece. 

The bottom 5/8 of an inch must be kept clear for USPS barcodes. (See our design templates here)

Yes. As a part of our printing services, we can print variable names and addresses on your postcards, letters or books. Variable data printing can be placed in as many areas of your mail piece as you like!

Yes. We can mail or ship your pieces from addressing, to list acquisition and list processing. You can even use our mailing permit or your own.

Postage is calculated at the USPS discounted rates based on following the USPS rules and regulations for presorting mail to the deepest postal discounts.

Before you begin designing your mail piece, we can share best practice guidelines to follow to ensure your mail pieces are accepted and processed by the postal service with the deepest postal discounts available. Our consultative practice includes helping you select dimensions for proper text and image placement, mailing address, return address, size, weight and more.
